３年後のビジョン
今、トロントにいるダグというコーチと一緒に、
３年後のビジョンをつくっています。
とりあえず、絵になるまで、いろいろ宿題が来たり、
それについて話したり。
だんだん絵がハッキリしてきて、また少し混乱して、
それを繰り返しているうちに、
やがて、自分の中でイメージをもてるようになってきます。
もともとそれは自分ひとりでやってきたのですが、
３年、５年と期間を決めてやってきたわけではなく、
これが実現したらどんなにいいんだろうとか、
これがやれるようになったら、みんな驚くだろうかとか、
そしたら、もっと自分に自信が持てるとか、
考えていただけです。
でも、今つくっているビジョンは、
今まで考えなかったようなことを、
考えなかったような角度から考えているわけです。
外からの刺激でやるのではなく、自分の価値観と一致させ、
自分の本当にやりたいことを考えています。
これをつくっていく過程は本当にワクワクします。
毎週、コーチとそれについて話すのはとても楽しいことです。
私はこのプロセスにとても価値を感じています。
他の人のビジョンメーキングももちろんしています。
でも、自分のビジョンメーキングが進んでゆくと、
リアリティーが変わります。
ダグは私に言います。
「金メダルを取るのは、偶然じゃないんだよ。
取って当然というところに行くんだ」
何のための金メダルか、何のための練習か。
それについて彼は選手に質問をする。
そして、それに答えを見つけた者たちは、金メダルを当然手にする。
そのタイムリーな質問、個々にあわせた質問、
それがコーチの力量だと思います。
そのためにはコーチにビジョンがいります。
それから、自分の価値観にも気がついている必要があります。
