竜安寺
今日は京都にいます。
久しぶりに竜安寺に行きました。
そういえば、水戸光圀さんが寄進したと言われている「つくばい（茶庭の手水鉢）」が
あって、そこには『吾唯足知』「ワレ・タダ・タルヲ・シル」と
禅の格言を図案化したものがあります。
「いい言葉だね」なんて妙に感心していたら、
そこに、それをデザインした小さな文鎮のようなものがあったので、
息子に言いました。
「これを記念に買おうか？」
「そうだね、忘れないように」
「そうだね」
息子にお金を渡して、それを買いにやらせ、帰ってきた息子に、
「おつりは？」
すると息子曰く
「ついでに、キーホルダーも買っておいた」
「がーん」
だから、今日買ったのは、「吾唯足知 ワレタダタルヲシル」の格言なのに、
どうして、もう一つ買うわけ！
